Self-Improvement or Self-Remembrance?
Redefining Wholeness Through The Divine Quotient™
For much of my life, I saw healing as something you did when you were broken. Something shameful. A sign of weakness or failure, or something to hide.
In my 20’s, I remember holding back tears and pain because somewhere deep inside, I believed vulnerability made me weak. Like many of us, I was conditioned to be tough, to power through, to survive.
But healing isn't a weakness. It’s not fixing something that’s broken, and it’s definitely not something we do because there’s something “wrong” with us.
The Divine Quotient™ taught me that healing is remembrance.
It’s peeling back the layers of fear, conditioning, and shame—not to become someone new, but to return to who we’ve always been: whole, good, holy, and beautiful.
The Evolution of Intelligence: IQ → EQ → DQ
Our culture has long celebrated intellect (IQ) — the ability to reason, analyze, and solve. Then came emotional intelligence (EQ), giving us tools to navigate feelings and relationships.
But both IQ and EQ, while valuable, still operate largely from the mind. They often reinforce the idea that we must “fix” or “improve” ourselves to be worthy, happy, or successful.
The Divine Quotient™ (DQ) invites a different perspective. One that integrates Spirit, Mind, and Body into a harmonious whole — and sees us as already complete.
When you live from your DQ, you stop outsourcing your worth to external validation. You stop striving for perfection. Instead, you begin aligning with Divine Truth, and allow that truth to guide your thoughts, emotions, and actions.
Self-Improvement vs. Self-Remembrance
Most of us are taught to pursue healing as a form of self-improvement. We sign up for programs, buy books, or chase the next breakthrough hoping it will finally make us “enough.”
But self-improvement often operates from a subtle belief that we’re lacking.
Self-remembrance is different.
It asks us to remember, “What’s right with me?” instead of “What’s wrong with me?”
It invites curiosity over criticism. Grace over guilt. Alignment over achievement.
Living from my DQ has shown me that negative emotions like fear, shame, anxiety, or doubt aren’t signs that I’m failing — they’re merely providing me information. They’re inner cues reminding me I’ve forgotten who I really am, and that I’ve simply strayed from alignment with Love. From this place of awareness, I can then choose to ask my Spirit to guide me back into alignment or choose to stay where I am. It’s completely up to me to decide the experience I want to have next.
In my world, healing is one of the bravest, most powerful things you can do — especially when it’s not about becoming someone new, but remembering who you truly are.
The Power of Knowing You're Already Whole
I’ll never forget the moment it truly hit me: There’s absolutely nothing wrong with me. I’m already loved. I’m already whole.
I had spent years questioning my identity, navigating shame, and feeling disconnected. But through solitude, prayer, and countless conversations with Spirit, I came to a life-changing realization and knowing — God loves me exactly as I am. Period.
I felt it in my heart, soul, and body. And from that moment forward, I stopped trying to earn love and started embodying it.
This is the heart of the Divine Quotient™ — a radical, sacred remembering that you already have everything you need within.
My Questions for You:
What comes up for you when you hear the word H.E.A.L.? Curiosity? Resistance? Hope?
Have you ever judged your desire to heal as weakness?
What if healing is just the sacred process of remembering that you are already whole?
